Tonight I can’t find string beans and moringa leaves. I don’t use onion. But otherwise I follow this recipe. I usually blanch the vegetables but skip the cooling stage to cut down the cooking time.
What is blanching?
Blanching is the process in which a food, usually a vegetable or fruit, is scalded in boiling water and then plunged into icy cold water to stop it cooking any further. It is a great way to preserve colour, flavour and nutritional value.
