Energizer Australia has become the first supplier to become GS1net live with Officeworks, using Bizcaps’ GS1-certified Enterprise master data solution to synchronise its product information with Officeworks, through GS1net.
GS1net allows suppliers to provide product and pricing data to multiple suppliers through a single source. Importantly for Energizer, GS1net enhances EDI in their supply chain by ensuring data integrity.
Bizcaps Enterprise can collect product and pricing information from a supplier’s existing systems and validates and publishes that information to their trading partners, in the format required.
Bizcaps had previously assisted Energizer to publish its product and pricing information to Coles and Metcash, ultimately improving order accuracy and dramatically reducing claims and errors for both organisations. Bizcaps was the first middleware software to be certified for GS1net. As a result, when GS1net guidelines for office products became available, Bizcaps encouraged its office products clients to adopt the standards and Energizer moved quickly.
The potential efficiencies are enormous. “Trading partners who are able to exchange transactions directly between their systems in a fully-automated way without the need for any human intervention, can achieve tremendous efficiencies, especially in high-volume environments”, said Richard Jones GS1 Australia’s General Manager-Industry Engagement.
Energizer is now working to add more trading partners via data synchronisation and EDI.
