Hello and Happy New Year!

We don’t need to be reminded how 2020 was a challenging year that we were all not expecting, but CV19 didn’t stop the Bizcaps team. Like many of you, we were kept busy working from home.

Australian Food & Grocery Council (AFGC) PIF Resources
The PIF V5 Excel spreadsheet-based platform is no longer capable of delivering the functionality or the flexibility in data management you need. The AFGC has ceased supporting the V5 PIF, so it has not been updated since 2012. The AFGC recommends that it should no longer be used.

PIF V6.0 features updated content and has been translated to business-to-business software solutions. PIF V6.0 streamlines the process of recording, storing and reporting product information via secure online portals, making it more efficient and faster to use.

The transition to PIF V6 is easier with a range of industry tools and resources developed by the AFGC and other industry bodies.  From a PIF User Guide and FAQs to a series of PIF webinars, you can find them all here on the AFGC’s website.

Streamline and validate all your data
As consumers and retailers demand “anywhere and anytime” access to richer and more extensive information about the food they’re buying, there is increasing pressure on suppliers to maintain consistently high quality food data online.

As a specialist food data solution provider, Bizcaps Software is helping large and small suppliers and buyers organise and integrate all their various data – including product and ingredient specifications, nutrition and allergen claims, test reports, financials, packaging and logistics – into a unified view across all business systems. Our solutions give you automated data collection and validation rules to achieve your quality standards, and meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

As a licensed AFGC PIF V6 Partner and GS1 National Product Catalogue Certified Solution Provider, Bizcaps can work with you to manage your data from start to finish in three reliable stages:

  1. store finished product and ingredient data and other information on the PIF Manager portal
  2. streamline workflows from new product development to production and approvals via our Flowscribe platform
  3. create, validate and maintain product and pricing data catalogues and publish to your trading partners via the NPC and other GDSN data pools.

Last chance to have your say
The AFGC wants to hear from the food industry about how the Product Information Form is working for your company. The survey below takes about 10 minutes of your time – and your feedback has the potential to save companies like yours hours of precious time and trouble.

The purpose of this survey is to assist the AFGC to understand how the PIF V6 is being used by the food industry. The information you can give will help to ensure that user support, training and resources are effective and relate to real-world pain-points.  Click HERE – this survey closes tomorrow.

If you have any PIF questions, or would like to receive our comprehensive PIF Information Pack or see a quick demo of our PIF Manager portal, please do not hesitate to give me a call.

Yours sincerely,
